The World Endurance Championship (WEC) has published its entry list for the 2023 season.

In the top class, 13 hypercars will fight for victory: four Porsches, two each from Toyota, Ferrari, Peugeot, and one each from Vanwall, Cadillac and Glickenhaus.

Toyota will continue to feature Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez (No. 7), as well as Sebastian Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Rio Hirakawa (No. 8). Alpin, which was in contention for the title until the last race of 2022, will not compete in hypercar competition.

Former Formula 1 driver Antonio Giovinazzi will be behind the wheel of the Ferrari, while Vanwall will be represented by 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve along with Tom Dielmann and Esteban Guerrieri.

Porsche will exhibit two factory hypercars (one of the crews included three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Andre Lotterer) and two customer ones. One Peugeot will be driven by former F1 driver Paul di Resta, two-time Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne and Mikkel Jensen, while the other will be driven by 2013 WEC champion Loic Duval, multiple DTM race winner Nico Muller and Gustavo Menezes.

So far, only two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Romain Dumas, has been announced for Glickenhaus.

There are 11 crews and drivers such as Juan Manuel Correa, Sean Gelael and Andre Negrand in the LMP2 class, and 14 cars in the LMGTE AM class.

The first race of the new season will take place on March 17 in Sebring.
